The character poster of the female leads – Wamiqa Gabbi and Mamta Mohandas – were released a few weeks ago and created huge expectation levels for the film.
Recently, the team launched the first-look of Prakash Raj who plays an important role in the film. He will be playing Dr Inayat Khan in Nine and his look in the film is something to watch out for. Previously, the duo Prakash Raj and Prithviraj have collaborated on movies such as Mozhi and Anwar.

It may be recalled here that Wamiqa Gabbi plays the character Eva while Mamta Mohandas will be seen as Annie. Touted to be a science fiction, Nine’s shooting began in April this year and has been progressing steadily since then. The team had recently completed a schedule in the Himalayas, according to reports.
Directed by Jenuse Mohammed, the film is being produced by Prithviraj’s home banner Prithviraj Productions in association with SPE Films India. Being his first production venture, after his walkout from August Cinemas, Nine is termed to be a very important film in the star’s career.
The technical crew working on the film includes Shaan Rahman who will be composing tunes for the songs, while the background score will be done by Sekhar Menon. Abinandhan Ramanujam is cranking the camera for this venture while Shameer Mohammed is the editor. Prithviraj and Prakash Raj are a formidable combo in the south Indian film industry having worked together in a few movies.
